Comprehensive Staffing Solutions is seeking Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses for the upcoming school year. The position is for School Based Pre-K program. Pediatric experience is required. Pediatric Ventilator experience required.
School Nurse duties and responsibilities
• Conducting student hearing and vision screenings
• Educating students on hygiene and safety practices
• Dispensing prescription medications to students per physician instructions
• Verifying vaccination records
• Taking students’ temperatures when fever is suspected
• Administering first aid and CPR
School Nurse duties and responsibilities

• Treating minor injuries such as cuts, scrapes and bruises
• Contacting parents when students are ill or injured

School Nurse skills and qualifications
• Standard clinical skills to dispense medications and treat minor ailments and injuries
• Basic math skills to ensure proper dosage amounts when dispensing medications
• Good communication skills to work with students and parents
• Ability to demonstrate a calm, caring demeanor when working with children
• Good presentation skills for training school staff
• Ability to remain focused in the event of a student medical emergency
Pediatric experience required

Compensation: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
